While out and about today and still looking for the perfect prairie grass I took highway 53 back rather than 93 (I already knew what was on 93 from an earlier trip). While I didn’t find the ideal clump of prairie grass, I did find a nice turnout, with a good view, that was westward looking.
I’d certainly admit to needing to doing some work with some filters on there – the sky is a bit blown out. Though, it wasn’t so much for the artistic work, but rather I was just after a reference to see what it did (and if I could get my camera to focus the way I wanted it to this time). The very high dynamic range of the scene and the clouds (without much blue that I could hold back) made for a challenging environment to photograph in. I’ll be back when I can get a better sky.
The fact that its a westward looking view means that it would be a potential for a good sunset photo. And there is much better tree/view management than the vistas on 93.
